In our previous dialogue, we discussed the concept and usage of minimalism and how it affects style. Those chosen to continue to the second stage, I feel, possess understanding of this notion.
Thus for stage two, the tides must turn.
We are moving into the world of details and innovation.
Your challenge is to make two looks, one day and one night. They must be an innovation and/or couture-like concept in fabric manipulation, surface detail or silhouette. They also must bear a uniting theme. --------------------------------------------------------------------
THeme: Batik Couture This is the day look.i was thinking of doing something of my country indonesia. it has a reputation for it's batik. it is somewhat couture to me because of the tedious waxing and dyeing/painting by hand to make an intricate print.
To make it more interesting, and even more couturish~ the golden yellow stripes are added with gold matt sequins. it is a short day dress (just above knee) , with drapping of flower like ribbon at the back, as the main focus of the outfit apart from the batik. from the front, the silk is drapped towards the back, creating soft cowls at the sides..
the is a gorgeous dress. It has very good pattern and beautiful details, plus it is very elegant and effortless (your illustration and pose choice also reinforces this). the contrast between the softness and lightness of the batik dress and the red and black belt and shoes is interesting. the model is wonderfully illustrated. I can't wait to see the night look!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
