SHATTERED REVERIE S/S11

The collection is a re-interpretation of Arabic tessellations. The balance between points, curves and angles found in Islamic architecture is the keystone of this femme fatale poesy. The concept is translated through intricate folding techniques. Luxurious fabrics are pleated, crushed and draped around the female body to exhale the fragrance of orientalism.

Artist herself:
The realisation of the collection took longer than I expected. for example, the last piece took me more than 4 weeks to complete. most of these garments require alot of couture techniques and hand sewings, with super clean finishings. the easiest outfit took me a week each garment. Sounds really slow, but the handling of these fabrics is not easy afterall, it requires alot of time to make sure there's 90% of accuracy in the sewing. I was happy that the fitting was not too bad. None of the garments need size adjustments (THANK GOODNESS, REALLY). I was already struggling to complete them within the time frame.

you might have to download to be able to see the details, so, enjoy! Hope you like it!

wow! unlike the other fantastic dress (with that origami stuff) this is totally wearable and super cool! the other dress might be wearable for Lady Gaga, but I think it's more for looking at it than wearing. (please don't take this the wrong way, cause that other dress is awesome)
